How we teach
1-to-1 lessons that teach the method, not just the answer

How a session runs
-
Diagnostic first lesson
The paid one-hour trial is a full teaching session. The teacher checks what the student already understands and where the gaps are, then teaches from there.
-
A plan around school
We set a weekly time that fits the student’s school timetable and exam year. Then we agree what to cover first, starting with the topics that earn the most marks.
-
Live 1-to-1 teaching
Every session is screen-shared with shared workings: the teacher and student prepare ledgers, statements and answers together in real time.
-
Homework & feedback loop
Short, targeted practice between sessions, marked with written feedback, plus a WhatsApp update to the parent on what was covered and what to watch.
Materials and practice
Students work from our own study resources: syllabus guides, worked examples and practice sets in the style of the board’s structured papers, with original figures. For past papers and mark schemes, we link to the board’s official pages and teach the technique that earns the marks.
What we teach
We teach IGCSE Accounting for Cambridge 0452/0985, Edexcel 4AC1 and OxfordAQA 9215, in private 1-to-1 lessons arranged as you go. We teach the whole syllabus, so the student can handle whatever the paper asks.
Frequently asked questions
Who teaches the lessons?
Every lesson is taught by our team of experienced accounting teachers. Lessons are live, and the person who teaches your child in the trial is the person who continues with them.
What does “experienced” mean here?
It means years of classroom or tuition experience teaching accounting. Our teachers have taught IGCSE Accounting (and, between them, A Level and other accounting qualifications) for many years. We name our teachers and their experience on the Our teachers page.
How are sessions delivered?
Online, 1-to-1, over a video call with a shared screen. The teacher writes up double entries, T-accounts and financial statements live so the student sees the method being built, step by step.
Do parents get updates?
Yes. After sessions we send a short WhatsApp note on what was covered and what to practise, so you can follow progress even if you don’t know accounting yourself.
What if we want to change teacher or stop?
Lessons are arranged as you go, at the rate agreed on WhatsApp. If a different teacher would suit the student better, tell us on WhatsApp.
